The Bear Cave is a tranquil and cozy retreat, nestled high in the mountains at 9300', but still only 45 minutes from Denver. Whether you use it as a home base for your adventures, or stay in and recharge amongst the peaceful trees and breathtaking mountain views, this space has been designed with you in mind. The opportunities for day trips are endless. In the summer, explore the countless trails by foot or by bike, float in Evergreen lake, shop in Denver or attend a show at the famous Red Rocks

The space

The House: Built in the early 80's and recently renovated, the home is located high up on a mountain slope, featuring stunning mountain views to the North and West (sometimes you can see Long's Peak to the North on a clear day). Take in the views while you relax in the hot tub, sipping your coffee or cocktail. If you're looking for a good place to finish that book you've been working on for a while, cozy up next to the crackle of the wood burning fireplace in the living room.

The Kitchen: Outfitted with a full kitchen, we have all you might need to make a gourmet meal like you would from the comfort of your own home. If grilling out is more your speed, enjoy the propane grill positioned perfectly for the grill master to take in the views from the deck. Not feeling either of those? Then take a short trip into town to visit some of our favorite restaurants in the area!

Bed & Bath: The Master Suite features a King bed, walk-in closet, and a private bathroom complete with a beautiful walk-in rainfall shower and stand-alone soaking tub. The downstairs bedrooms have a queen bed and a bunk bed for additional guests or for the kids to have their own space. Just steps away, the guest bath has it's own walk-in rainfall shower so everyone can enjoy the luxurious experience.

Entertainment: Stocked with board games, playing cards, a foosball table and Satellite TV's with streaming capabilities, you should never be bored!

Working space: There is a desk set aside for working space, and wifi in the house. However, the Wifi is Satellite Internet so it can be slow if you're trying to stream video calls. Use your time to disconnect and spend time with those closest to you.

Activities in the area: Take advantage of the many trails we have in the area to explore the surrounding mountains by bike or by foot. Like water sports? Check out Evergreen lake for paddle boarding and kayaking, or go rafting on Clear Creek. Wet a line with one of the many fishing opportunities the area has to offer. Want to see a concert? Take in a show at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater just 40 minutes away!

The Neighborhood: This house is located on a cul-de-sac in a quiet mountain neighborhood. Being on 5 acres and surrounded by trees, you will have plenty of privacy to escape it all, but please be respectful of the neighbors in the area. They live in the area for the same reasons you're there to visit!
