Bob provides 30 years of national real estate experience combined with extensive knowledge in real estate marketing, sales, financing, development, construction and investment consulting. His experience and knowledge goes well beyond the typical real estate broker. Bob applies his expertise and extensive negotiation experience to every transaction to insure EPG clients gain every possible advantage in our very competitive Denver real estate market. Bob learned very early in his career that delivering customer satisfaction is the most important thing we do.
Following graduation from CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, Bob spent 14 years at Fortune 100 Whirlpool Corp as a sales/marketing executive holding numerous positions in the builder division living and working in various geographic markets coast-to-coast working with the nation’s largest residential home builders including such giants as Pulte, Horton, U.S. Homes, MDC/Richmond, Lennar, KB Homes, NVR, Fleetwood, Champion and many others as well as smaller regional builders. As a “industry kitchen expert” responsibilities went well beyond sales to include supporting new home marketing and sales by leveraging the kitchen as one of the most important sales features in a new home. Bob was very active in industry associations such Home Builders Assoc (NAHB) and the Kitchen & Bath Assoc (NKBA). During this time, Bob attended the University of Denver Executive MBA program.
Following Whirlpool, Bob and Cindy spent seven years in entrepreneurial projects including ownership of a domestic franchised business and ownership of an international franchisor - successfully selling both to much larger firms. Bob alos had a brief stint as an equity partner as the CIO of a start-up during the “dot com” boom before refocusing on real estate.
In 2000, Bob and Cindy started residential mortgage brokerage Plaza Financial providing clients with Fannie, Freddie, FHA and VA financing. They added Plaza Realty to create a full package of real estate and financing services. In 2008, they wound down the mortgage business and expanded their real estate model to include REO portfolio sales and commercial clients involving multi-family housing, retail store development, distressed property services, charter school development, residential housing development and arranging commercial real estate financing.
In 2015, Bob and Cindy rejoined forces at Keller Williams DTC where Cindy had moved several years earlier to form Engel Property Group with the goal of developing a leading edge real estate technology platform to streamline the often complex transaction path in order to consistently communicate and maintain a high level of transparency with clients.
